Stretch
Wrist Extensor Stretch
The mirror of the flexor stretch: flex the wrist down and stretch the top of the forearm, where mouse-hand tension and elbow twinges start. Thirty seconds per side keeps the muscles that lift your fingers from staying angry.

How to do it
- 1
Extend your right arm in front of you, palm down, elbow straight.
- 2
Let the wrist relax so the fingers point toward the floor.
- 3
With your left hand, gently press the back of the right hand toward you.
- 4
Feel the stretch along the top of your forearm toward the elbow.
- 5
Hold, breathe, then switch hands.
Common mistakes
- Pressing hard on the knuckles instead of applying gentle, even pressure
- Shrugging the shoulder of the stretched arm
- Bending the elbow and losing the stretch
Dad tips
- Make a loose fist before pressing to deepen the stretch slightly.
