Ingredients

  • Turkey mince (7% fat)800g
  • Egg1 large
  • Breadcrumbs1/2 cup (50g)
  • Parmesan, grated1/2 cup (40g)
  • Marinara sauce2 jars (1.2kg)
  • Spaghetti300g dry
  • Garlic powder + dried oregano1 tsp each

Method

  1. 1

Mix turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan and seasoning. Roll into golf-ball meatballs - wet hands stop the sticking.

  2. 2

Brown them in a wide pan with a little oil, 5-6 minutes. Don't crowd; do two rounds if needed.

  3. 3

Pour in the marinara, cover, and simmer 12 minutes while the spaghetti boils.

  4. 4

Serve half over pasta tonight. Cool the rest in sauce and freeze flat in bags.
